gönüllü olmak

Dikey Dünya'da gönüllü olmak ister misiniz ?

Gönüllülük nedir ?

Doğada yaşamı gözlemlemek, deneyim edinmek, başka bir yaşamın adımlarını atmak, birlikte bir şeyler yapmak istiyorsanız gönüllü olmak tam size göre olabilir.

Bizim hakkımızda

Benim adım Mutlu. Ben bir doğa aşığıyım. Doğada vakit geçirmeyi, her türlü doğa şartında olmayı seviyorum. İki yıl önce düzenli işten ayrıldım ve burada hayatıma devam etmeye başladım. On yılı aşkındır dağcılık yapıyorum.

Her defasında yeni şeyler keşfediyor, yeni tecrübeler edinyoruz

Bizi nasıl anlattılar

I stayed in DDunya for 10 days and these were wonderful days.Helping was easy and enjoyable.Mutlu is a very helpful, kind-hearted and interesting person.During my stay, I managed to learn more about Turkish food, traditions, mentality and art, help with the yoga practice for children, spend a wonderful evening with 14 local kindergarten teachers who arrived in DDunya to celebrate teacher’s day in Turkey. We sang to the accompaniment of the guitar and Turkish national instruments. We also walked in forest and conquered the highest peak in this place, from where you could see forest, lake and cities Iznik and Bursa. Mutlu and his friends showed me traditional songs and dances. It was an amazing, unforgettable experience that helped me pump my skills, get acquainted with the culture of Turkey and answer many personal questions. Thank you, Mutlu for bringing light and good vibes to the masses. See you, for sure 😊

I had a great time volunteering with mutlu at dikey dünya. The food was very good and we all shared kitchen responsibilities and ate together. It was a very peaceful environment and nice to be in the mountains, with lots of opportunities to hike and be outdoors. We did various work to clean houses and prepare for winter. The work is fair and changes from day to day. My favorite parts were learning more about turkish food and culture from mutlu and spending time in nature. I miss the cats and dogs as well 🙂

I initially planned to stay 2 weeks with Mutlu and ended up staying 1month and a half! The work is easy but depending on the demands of his business it can be long hours. Mutlu can be quite understanding so if you have a problem you can talk to him about it and he will try to fix it. He is very hospitable and loves to share his Turkish culture in every way he can! So lots of dancing! Music, singing, listening to him playing the traditional Turkish guitar – saz on which he also sings traditional Turku songs. (Turkish folk music ) and also Turkish food! He has a great sense of humour and we had a lot of laughs! We went on hikes and camped in the mountain nearby under the moonlight and that was my first proper camping experience and it will always remain as one of my most happiest and cherished memories. I am a complete novice in hiking mountains and forests and also very clumsy.. on one of the harder hikes I found it hard to stay on my feet 😂 (it was hilarious ) but Mutlu and the volunteers and his friends were supportive and looked out for me and eachother which was really nice. Lastly Mutlu is very knowledgeable about outdoor sports and if you enjoy hiking and camping or want to try it, you’ve come to the right place. Not to mention you’ll fall in love with Kömür, Fındık And Badem. (Resident Cat and 2 dogs – father and daughter)
I am very happy to have spent a few weeks with Mutlu, he was a great host, preparing delicious and varied breakfasts every day and playing his music in the evenings. Always worried that the volunteers would be comfortable. Thank you for that! The place is very quiet. Away from Iznik, the option we had to get there was to take a taxi from the village. The work in the place was simple but long. I take with me very good memories of this place and of the people I met there. Thank you Mutlu for all your details!
Being in Dikey Dunya was very exciting, new and peacefull for me. This was my first volunteer in Turkey and Mutlu was the perfect host to introduce me to this new culture that i began to love and aprecciate in many ways. He is very interested in showing us all the local traditions in food, and music. We had a great time with the other volunteers and his friends and even the guests, making music, dancing and gattering around a wood fire. We went out for short hikes and on our day off we went down to the local market and to the lake in Iznik (beautiful sunny day!), we also had a full moon camping experience, that will be unforgetable. About the work, it was very easy but sometimes demanded long hours. It was mainly cleaning the houses and all comon areas, cleaning the sheets and having the rooms ready for guests to arrive. Also we worked on the roof of the yoga area and of course there was dailly tasks such as feeding and walking the animals. Dikey Dunya is not very near the city, that makes it a wonderfull place if you just want some quiet and peace, beautiful skies and sunsets, and the sounds of the birds. To get to town you can’t count on hitchiking (because there aren’t many people around) so your best option will be to pay for a taxi ride. In general, it was a very confortable and amazing experience. Mutlu is a great chef, dancer and musician ! We all had lots of laughts!!! I am so happy to share some of my time with Mutlu, the other amazing volunteers and his energetic friends.

I stayed two weeks at Dikey Dünya and liked my experience. Mutlu loves to share Turkish culture, be it through cooking, language or music. I learned a great deal while I was there, which in turn helped a lot when I traveled across the rest of the country. The food was great! (and natural)
The tasks were easy and simple, but there were no real designated shifts. You often need to be around in case Mutlu needs your help.
Since I had a foot injury while I was there, my outdoor activities were limited unfortunately, but there is plenty to do if you like nature. The place can get pretty quiet during the week; it was especially hard during the first week after the bustling life of Istanbul. Bring a book!.

The place is incredible, really inside nature. Surrounded by fruit trees, and many trails if you like to walk. The houses are rustic and beautiful, and you will enjoy a comfortable room with a bathroom and very complete breakfasts! We stayed two weeks with Mutlu and we left happy. He is kind and very calm, and has a lot of energy! With him and his daughter Ilgaz we went to the hot springs, and also to walk on the mountain. We met his friend Ali, who kindly invited us to have tea in his house, as always in Turkey. We help Mutlu with his new home, building his balcony, and we also prepare the cabins for the guests. The city is a bit far if you want to go walking but you can choose to hitchhike, the people of the town will surely take you! We are very grateful to Mutlu, because we share many walks together, and we also hear him singing very well !!! The best for you Mutlu, be happy!!!
